Gather round, my fellow PlayStation Plus subscribers. The first extra and premium tier drop of 2024 is here and January will see 14 games added to the platform.

Already, 2024 is off to a pretty solid start. It’s no secret that 2023 has been a bit shaky for Sony’s game subscription service. Despite the addition of cloud streaming and the Sony Pictures Core library for premium viewers, price hikes and poor additions have left most subscribers feeling cheated. This month I saw A Plague Tale : Requiem, Evil Westet Nobody saves the world land on the essential level. Three solid games. We now know which 14 games are coming to the extra and premium catalogs next week, January 16, and it’s another decent deal.

January’s PlayStation Plus extra tier additions are as follows: Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands – Next Level Edition (PS4/5), Resident Evil 2 (PS4/5), Hardspace: Shipbreaker (PS5), LEGO City undercover (PS4), Just because 3 (PS4), Session: Skate Sim (PS4/5), Shadow Tactics : Les Lames du Shogun (PS4), Vampire: The Masquerade – The Swan Song (PS4/5), and Survive the consequences (PS4).

The premium level will benefit from: Rallye-Cross (PS4/5), Star Wars: Episode 1 The Phantom Menace (PS4/5), Street Fighter: 30th Anniversary (PS4), Legend of Mana (PS4), and Secret of the hand (PS4).

Resident Evil 2 is the clear winner here, although I imagine Little Tina’s Wonderland will also go well. All games will be available to download and enjoy on January 16.
