Get ready to relive the glory days of disco! The Disco Music Fest: Back to the ’80s (’90s) is set to electrify the ancient theater in Plovdiv for two unforgettable nights on June 14 and 15,2025. This cult event, now in its third consecutive year, promises a stunning outdoor disco experience, supported by the Municipality of Plovdiv as part of the city’s cultural calendar.

Following the resounding success of previous editions featuring La Bouche, Kool & the Gang, East 17, Snap, No Mercy, and Dr. Alban, the festival is back to prove that disco is not just alive, but thriving.

Headliners Announced for the 2025 Disco Fest

This year’s lineup boasts an notable roster of iconic artists,including Ice Mc,Fun Factory,Fab Morvan of Milli Vanilli,and Haddaway. Ice Mc and fun Factory will kick off the festival on June 14, setting the stage for a weekend of non-stop dancing and nostalgia.

Ice Mc: The Euro-Raggamuffin Pioneer

Ian Campbell, known to the world as Ice Mc, is a British hip-hop and Eurodance artist of Jamaican descent.His career took off in 1989 when he teamed up with an Italian music producer, resulting in his debut single “Easy”.

In 1993,Ice Mc began collaborating with singer Alexia,creating some of his biggest hits,such as “Take Away the Color,” “Think About the Way,” and the unforgettable “It’s a Rainy Day.” Ice Mc is celebrated as a pioneer for blending Eurodance with Raggamuffin style and female choral vocals, revitalizing Hip House and raga on global charts.

Fun Factory: The Eurodance Phenomenon

Fun Factory, a German Eurodance group, dominated the 1990s charts with their explosive fusion of pop, dance, rap, techno, and reggae. With over 7 million singles and albums sold worldwide, Fun Factory achieved widespread success, captivating fans across Germany and beyond.

Formed in 1992,the group initially consisted of Balca,Steve,Rod D., and Smooth T. Their early hits include “Fun Factory’s Theme,” “Take Your Chance,” and “Close To You”. Despite periodic interruptions and member changes, Fun Factory has continued to perform and enthrall audiences, selling over 22 million records by 2016.

Fab Morvan of Milli vanilli and Haddaway: Night Two Highlights

The Disco Music Fest continues on june 15 with performances by Fab Morvan of Milli Vanilli and Haddaway. Milli vanilli, formed by Frank Farian in 1988, achieved tremendous success with hits like “Girl You know It’s True” and “Blame it on the Rain,” even winning a Grammy Award for Best New Artist in 1990.

Though, their success was short-lived when rumors of them not singing on their tracks were confirmed, leading to the revocation of their awards. Fab Morvan has since shared his side of the story, including the struggles and the tragic decline of Rob Pilatus.As 2023, Morvan resides in Amsterdam, pursuing his solo career.

Haddaway, known for his massive hit “What Is Love,” which topped charts in 13 countries in 1993, holds a doctoral degree in political science and history. He continues to be active in music, club events, and film projects, captivating audiences worldwide.

Children up to 7 years old enter free of charge, without the right to a sitting place. For individuals between 7 and 18 years old, a ticket is required, and they must be accompanied by a parent or adult guardian with a regular ticket.
