Mauricio Pochettino, Chelsea coach, assured that he is not happy with the Premier League’s decision to schedule the match once morest the Wolverhampton Wanderers on December 24because the day before is his wife’s anniversary.

The Premier League decided to break this tradition that had lasted 28 years (the last match on December 24 was a Leeds United-Manchester United in 1995) to please the television networks and without taking into account the fans, who will have to travel to Wolverhampton despite to the shortage of trains on that date.

“I’m not happy because the 23rd is my anniversary with my wife and the 24th is an important date at night for Argentines. Neither the fans are happy with this decision nor am I happy,” Pochettino said this Friday at a press conference.

“It is a difficult situation and it is not going to change. We have to accept that we are in England and that this is different to the rest of the world. Even if you are not happy with it, we have to be at our best level and accept a situation that is not going to change,” he commented.

Regarding the possibility of his wife going to see him in Wolverhampton, Pochettino said: “I don’t think I can convince her.”
