The time has come to check out what the Poco M6 Pro in its 4G version has to offer. It is practically a clone of the Redmi Note 13 Pro 4G, with the main difference being the main camera. Does this cheaper model deliver better value for money?
The Poco M6 Pro comes with a plastic body and Gorilla Glass 5 protection for the front glass. It’s a flat cell phone on the back and sides that can slide off easily, but it comes with a silicone case in the box. The camera block has two prominent sensors highlighted by large rims, while the front has thin edges and a hole for the selfie camera with a fingerprint reader under the display.
On the multimedia side we have a large 6.67-inch screen with Full HD+ resolution, 120 Hz refresh rate and AMOLED technology that delivers a good level of brightness. There is stereo sound with three sound outputs that guarantee powerful audio with a good balance between bass, mids and treble.
The Poco M6 Pro comes equipped with the Helio G99 Ultra chipset. In the model we tested we have 8 GB of RAM to handle multitasking and even so it is still common to see Xiaomi’s intermediary reloading some apps open in the background. In games you will have to limit the graphic quality of heavier titles.
It comes with a 5,000 mAh battery and provided more than 27 hours of moderate use in our test with some games included. Xiaomi sends a 67W charger in the box that takes 50 minutes to fully fill the battery and with just 15 minutes in the socket you will have a third to use.
The photographic set consists of a 64 MP camera, an 8 MP ultra-wide camera and a 2 MP macro camera. We don’t have anything special here, with sensors that are a bit old, but still capable of recording good photos. The camcorder is limited to Full HD resolution, has stabilization that deals well with most of the shakes, the focus is agile and the sound capture is of good quality.
