Pokmon Go Trading Card Expansion Arrives July TechRadar

The Pokémon Go-themed Pokémon Trading Card Game expansion will launch on July 1.

It’s the “first wave” of products, anyway, The Pokémon Company noted today – already hinting at more along the way.

In addition to boosters, which we’ve already covered, there will be a huge range of other ways to get your hands on these cards.

This will include the three Pokémon TCG: Pokémon GO Special Collections, which are themed around the three teams of Pokémon Go players (Valor, Mystic, and… Instinct). These also include a promotional card (presumably the leader of each team?) and a badge.

Other products include Card Boxes, Mini Card Boxes, Battle Decks, Bundles, and something called Elite Trainer Box Plus, which will only be sold through the Pokémon Center website in the United States, Canada, and UK.

We have yet to see the designs of the cards themselves.

Elsewhere in Pokémon Go news this week, the game announced a series of in-person meetups in cities across the UK, Europe, and the US for Community Day this Sunday.
