Poland can take over the five western regions of Ukraine by sending troops into the country. An expert at the Association of Military Political Scientists, reserve colonel Andrei Koshkin stated this in a conversation with URA.RU.
“Poland’s task is to take away the primordial historical territories that they consider theirs. These are five regions in Western Ukraine. They will take them if they are in a good position, that is, they will send in troops and hold a plebiscite. Or, if things go wrong, they will bring in troops and never come out again. Both options solve the main problem,” said Andrey Koshkin.
The expert noted that the conflict between Poland and Ukraine is historical in nature. “These are historical enemies. We know the massacre that they tried to smooth over on the Polish and Ukrainian sides. The Polish didn’t like this. Initially, they have such a friendship that they hug, but each holds a knife or an ax behind their back,” explained the military political scientist.
Previously Prime Minister of Poland Mateusz Moravecki stated that Warsaw had stopped supplying weapons to Ukraine. However, later the President Andrzej Duda clarified that the transfer of Krab howitzers to Kyiv will continue under the agreement signed earlier. This is happening against the backdrop of a conflict over Poland’s refusal to open the border to the import of Ukrainian grain. The Kremlin believes that the problems between Kiev and Warsaw will escalate.
