Police are appealing for witnesses to the robbery

On Sunday 24 March, North Jutland Police received a report about an armed robbery at Sct. Olai Plads 1 in Hjørring, where there is a Route 66 restaurant. Now the police are looking for witnesses to the robbery, which happened at 10:30 p.m.

The perpetrator arrived via Vendelbogade to the parking area behind Arbejdernes Landsbank on a white women’s bicycle without a basket with lights on the front and back.

From here he went via a smoke to St. Olai Plads, where he carried out the robbery, North Jutland Police write in a press release.

The perpetrator is described as: Approximately 180 cm tall, thin, wearing a black mask over the face, blue jacket with a red logo, black hood over the head, plastic gloves, blue jeans, black smooth shoes.

He also brought a silver-coloured drum revolver, flashlight and a white plastic bag with a Lidl logo.

After the robbery, the perpetrator returned to the bicycle and drove from the scene via Vendelbogade in an unknown direction.

Police Commissioner Thomas Due Albrektsen from the Investigation Center Hjørring at North Jutland Police will not go into more detail about who the victim was, nor how the robbery took place, for investigative reasons. He also does not want to comment on the dividend.

In return, the police commissioner would very much like to hear from witnesses in the case:

– We are interested in all information that may relate to the case, if you have noticed the perpetrator before or after the robbery, the bicycle he was riding, or have information about possible identity based on the description, do not hesitate to call 114.

– It could also be that the perpetrator has thrown something away along the way – clothes, a bag or the like, so if you come across something like this near the scene of the crime, please also call 114, says Thomas Due Albrektsen.

No one was physically injured during the robbery.
