Police have arrested a man for selling alcohol illegally: a father threw his children down from the roof of a house

Monastery: A father threw his children from the roof of his house in Tunisia when police arrived to arrest him for selling liquor without a license. The incident took place in a monastery in the Tunisian governorate. Police arrived at the house to nab him and his 20-year-old son. According to media reports, the police have registered a case against them for selling liquor without a license and committing violence.

After the security forces arrived, the accused climbed on top of the house and threw heavy belongings at the officers. Tunisian radio reported that three soldiers were injured in the attack. He then threw his eight- and four-year-old children from the roof of the house. One child was seriously injured. Doctors said the child suffered a fractured skull. The health of the second child is not clear.

The father of the accused was arrested by the police but his 20-year-old son escaped. Police have registered a case against the father, who is in custody, on various counts of premeditated murder, assault on security personnel and sale of illicit liquor.
