A routine Sunday afternoon in the Hopley suburb of Harare shattered violently when a domestic dispute culminated in a fatal shooting, leaving a 36-year-old police officer dead and her husband critically injured. Sergeant Dzanwa Portia lost her life on Aug. 17, after being shot once in the head with a CZ pistol, according to local police reports. The gunman, identified as her 52-year-old husband, Pharaoh Dombodzvuku, immediately turned the weapon on himself using the same firearm.
