Police Officers Caught Partying during Working Hours at Campodónico Police Station in Chiclayo

Two police officers were captured partying at the Immediate Response Post (PRI), belonging to the Campodónico police station, during their working hours, in the city of Chiclayo.

In this regard, the general of the II Macro Police Region of Lambayeque, Marlon Anticona, declared that those involved were removed from their posts until the General Inspectorate of the Police concludes the investigations against them.

In the recordings, one of the uniformed men is seen dancing huayno with a young girl; while his partner hugged another female next to a table with liquor. The voice of a man is also heard indicating the name of one of the police officers: “Vargas leaves (to dance) with Erika from here.

According to the videos released, it was possible to identify the police officers involved as Jordi Sánchez Pataza and César Vargas Cieza, who received the appropriate sanction after committing the irregular act.

“According to what the colonel in charge of the Disciplinary Office told me, an investigation will be opened for a serious misconduct,” Anticona said. She added that it has not been determined if the officers were intoxicated; since they were not subjected to the ethyl dosage test.

“The exam could not be performed on them because after the broadcast reached us we went to verify the scene and all those involved had already left,” he clarified. He specified that the ladies, who accompanied the uniformed men on the “party”, do not belong to the PRI and that they are already in the process of identifying themselves to continue with the proceedings.

“They are civilians and they should not have been at the post because only police officers work there,” he said. On the other hand, he affirmed that the General Inspectorate of the Police has held, since January of this year, around 60 cases of ongoing investigation.
