Police save the man who jumped Long Bien bridge into the Red River

The functional forces have just successfully rescued a man who jumped from Long Bien Bridge (Hanoi) into the Red River. The victim was then brought ashore for first aid.

On January 31, the Police Department for Fire Prevention and Fighting and Rescue (Hanoi City Police) said that the functional forces had successfully rescued a person who jumped from the Long Bien bridge into the Red River.

Accordingly, at about 16:20 on January 30, the Information Center of the City Public Security Command received a report that a man had jumped from Long Bien bridge, heading from Ngoc Lam ward (Long Bien district) to Hoan Kiem district.

After receiving the news, the functional forces sent an ambulance and rescue vehicle of the Long Bien District Police and a canoe of the force on the river to the scene to organize the rescue.

At 16:30 on the same day, the functional forces rescued the victim ashore. Thanks to the timely deployment of rescue, the victim was only exhausted and still awake.

Rescuers took the victim to the hospital for emergency treatment and tried to contact the victim’s family.
