The Maier butcher shop in Pöndorf is celebrating its 90th anniversary this year. The original village butcher shop with livestock trading has been family-owned since 1934 and is now run by Franz Maier in the third generation. The company is now a medium-sized slaughtering and processing company with more than 30 employees who process 100 percent meat from Austria.
The company anniversary will not only be celebrated with a tent party on May 18th. The new, remodeled store also opened this week. A self-service area now allows shopping outside of normal opening hours.
