Poor Things starring Emma Stone to premiere on Star+ in Latin America – Oscar Award-winning film streaming now!

The film starring and produced by Emma Stone, poor creatures (o Poor Things) will premiere in streaming in Latin America.

The film will arrive exclusively through the platform Star+counting from Wednesday 20 March.

The film has just had a successful run through the Oscar awardsdelivered this Sunday, March 10, where they were nominated in multiple categories and ended up taking 4 statuettes.

The Hollywood Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences awarded poor creatures for having the Best Actress, with the performance of Emma Stone as Bella Baxter; as well as Best Production Design, Best Costume Design, and Best Makeup and Hairstyling.

From director Yorgos Lanthimos, it tells the story of Bella Baxter (Stone), a young woman who is approached by the brilliant and unorthodox scientist Dr. Godwin Baxter (Willem Dafoe) brings him back to life.

Under the doctor’s protection, Bella is eager to learn and, eager for the experience she lacks, Bella runs away with Duncan Wedderburn (Mark Ruffalo), a cunning and libertine lawyer, on a dizzying adventure across continents.

Free from the prejudices of her time, Bella grows firm in her purpose to defend equality and liberation.

Based on the book by Alasdair Gray, the screenplay was written by Tony McNamara, making this the second collaboration between Lanthimos and McNamara (The favourite, the first). The film was produced by Ed Guiney, Andrew Lowe, Yorgos Lanthimos and Emma Stone.
