Pope Francis has left Agostino Gemelli’s hospital in Rome after recovering from a respiratory infection. Sky News.
“I was not afraid, I am still alive,” the pontiff said in a conversation with reporters who met him at the exit from the hospital.
The Vatican has announced that the Pope will hold a mass in St. Peter’s Square tomorrow, on Palm Sunday, to mark the start of Holy Week.
On March 29, the Vatican press office reported that Francis, 86, had been complaining of breathing problems in the past few days. Doctors discovered he had a respiratory infection.
