Thodupuzha ∙ National Investigation Agency (NIA) report that 873 officers of the state police force have links with the Popular Front. The report handed over to the state police chief has a list of police officers associated with the banned organization. They are under the surveillance of central agencies.

Those working in the special branch, intelligence, law and order sections of the state police and those holding the office of high-ranking officials are under the surveillance of the central agencies. There are allegations once morest them of leaking the state police’s movements and inspections.
Last February, a civil police officer was dismissed from the Karimannur police station in Thodupuzha region for leaking information of RSS leaders to the Popular Front. 3 people including ASI were transferred due to similar allegations in Munnar police station.
