Porsche launches the new Macan ‘T’

The stock engine, but with improvements to the chassis

The engine of the Macan is the well-known 2.0 L turbocharged four-cylinder that produces 265 hp and produces 400 Nm of torque.. The gearbox is a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic (PDK). The Macan ‘T’ mounts Porsche’s own all-wheel drive system, the PTM. In turn, the Macan has sporty cut exhaust outlets that accompany this engine.

In addition, it is the only model of the brand that comes standard with the coil spring suspension with Porsche Active Suspension Management damping that lowers the height of the vehicle by 15 mm. To this we must add the PASM adaptive air suspension that manages to lower the height of the car by 10 mm.

The stabilizer bars on the front axle are stiffer, making the SUV more dynamic in handling. For its part, the Porsche Traction Management (PTM) is especially aimed at the rear axle.

It has a weight reduction of 58 kilos compared to the S and GTS versions.

A design that evokes the concept of exclusivity

Design elements are painted in Agate Gray with the exclusive contrast color on several parts, although the wheels will be those of the 20-inch Macan ‘S’.

For their part, customers will have a choice of 13 colors to choose from for the chassis of their Macan ‘T’.

The interior is pure luxury

The upholstery on this Macan ‘T’ is exclusive to the Black Leather Pack. In it is the Sport-Tex stripe on the 2 front seats and on the 2 rear ends. The silver decorative stitching makes it follow the line of the exterior. The Porsche crest will also have a place, which will be embroidered on the headrests of the two front seats.

The steering wheel is multifunction and heated GT sports, and as an option it can be upholstered in Race-Tex with carbon trim that give it a much sportier touch.

It can be configured right away and the first units will be delivered in April this year.
