The Canadian company made the announcement in a press release on Thursday, adding that round-trip flights will be offered to travelers starting next fall.

As of November 21, travelers will be able to fly to Orlando from Ottawa in a 132-seat plane.

Customers will have to wait until November 30 to make the trip between the Canadian capital and Fort Lauderdale, a seaside resort located near Hollywood Beach and Pompano Beach.

From Toronto Pearson Airport, Canadians will be able to fly to Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, Tampa, Miami and Fort Myers.

“Fort Lauderdale and Orlando are popular Florida destinations for passengers traveling from Ottawa and Gatineau,” says the president and CEO of Ottawa International Airport, inviting Quebec “snowbirds” to try the service.

Remember that the majority of foreign tourists in Florida are Canadian citizens.
