expressed his disappointment with his former bandmate when he was still a member of the rock band Kotak.
As the former drummer for Kotak, he feels unappreciated because after resigning in 2011, he did not get any royalties from his songs.
“From 2011 I resigned until 2022, it really hurts because the three of you, Cella, Chua, and Tantri, I feel hurt in people’s YouTube videos, sometimes saying ‘we don’t want to find a drummer anymore because it’s like this, the distribution of money is divided by three’ ,” said Posan Tobing when met at the Trans TV Studio, Tendean, South Jakarta, Thursday (6/10/2022).
“You can say it like that, no one forbids it, because it should be divided by three, but before being divided by three, people’s rights are set aside first,” he continued.
Posan Tobing said that he had a hand in the creation of Kotak’s popular songs, such as, Slowly, Always Love, Still Love, Leave Only, Relatives of Kotak, to Cinta Don’t Go.
These songs are often performed by Kotak during gigs.
“Don’t forget, you go to concerts everywhere, you bring my creations there,” said Posan Tobing.
“It’s not right for you to talk for three before you give the rights of the people involved in the song,” he continued.

Seeing himself as if he had been neglected, Posan Tobing admitted that he was hurt and devastated when he heard the songs he composed were performed without his permission.
“I’m like this because I’m sick, my heart hurts, my self-esteem is crushed, the songs you bring to concerts are from me. What I get is not royalties, but rather heartache,” said Posan Tobing.
For now, the man who was born in Jakarta is still open to discussing this matter.
However, if the three do not fulfill his wishes, Posan Tobing will not hesitate to bring this matter to court.
“The three of you have made me hurt, the three of you met me, we talked, tried to clarify, then discussed professionally the issue of royalty,” said Posan Tobing.
“Now I have prepared a room for the meeting, if you can’t, just let the court prepare the room,” he concluded.
