Pourchaire wins in Hungary and returns to the championship

Frenchman Théo Pourchaire (ART Grand Prix) claimed his third victory of the season in Formula 2 on Sunday, in the main race at the Hungaroring track in Hungary, a victory which allows him to reduce his championship deficit on Felipe Drugovich. The Brazilian, only 9th on Sunday, is only 21 points ahead in the championship, once morest 39 before this weekend and up to 44 at the end of the sprint race on Saturday, at the end of which the Frenchman finished off the dots.

On Sunday, Pourchaire, who started 4th on the grid, was accompanied on the podium by the Brazilian Enzo Fittipaldi (Charouz Racing) and by the Japanese Ayumu Iwasa (DAMS).

The 18-year-old French hopeful, favorite for the Formula 2 title, therefore does it once more in Hungary following winning the main races in Bahrain and Imola.

The championship continues at the end of August in Spa, Belgium, round 11 of the 14 this season.
