The power outage that affected Oss and the surrounding area at the beginning of the evening on Sunday has been resolved. All 27,000 addresses have power once more. In total, the outage lasted approximately two hours. Carnival is currently being celebrated in Oss.
According to a spokesperson for grid operator Enexis, a fault in an electricity house was the cause, which has been resolved. It is not known exactly what was going on. The outage was reported around 5:45 p.m.
A spokesperson for the municipality of Oss previously announced that the carnival party in a large tent in the center might continue as normal, as there was a generator that provided electricity. Several cafes are also said to have had emergency power.
