Muscat: There was a power outage in various parts of Oman on Monday. Power supply stopped at 1.30 pm. This has created hardship for the residents. Offices are temporarily closed. Traffic signals in the country are out of order. There were also problems with telephone networks.
This was followed by a traffic jam. Supply was cut off at fuel stations. Officials informed that the process of restoring electricity is in progress. Oman’s Authority for Public Services Regulation informed that some problems have been encountered in the electricity network and steps are being taken under the leadership of Oman Electricity Transmission Company to resolve them.
