South Africa’s PowerBall and PowerBall Plus jackpots will reset to R52 million and R5 million respectively on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, following a R108 million PowerBall win on Friday, March 20, 2026, that ended a fifteen-draw rollover streak.

The winning PowerBall numbers for Friday’s draw were 05, 08, 11, 17, and 41, with the PowerBall number 02. PowerBall Plus numbers were 12, 18, 28, 40, and 45, with a PowerBall of 15.

This win follows a R179 million PowerBall jackpot claimed in January 2026, according to lottery data. The largest PowerBall jackpot ever awarded in South Africa remains the R232 million prize from 2019.

A standard PowerBall ticket costs R5, with an additional R2.50 for PowerBall Plus, totaling R7.50. Players select five numbers from 1 to 50 and one PowerBall number from 1 to 20, facing odds of approximately 1 in 42,310,200 to win the jackpot. The average PowerBall jackpot payout is R22 million, making Tuesday’s R57 million combined jackpot more than double the average.

Tonight, a separate Lotto and Lotto Plus 1 and 2 draw will offer a combined jackpot of R74 million. Lotto tickets cost R5 per board, with an additional R2.50 for Plus 1 and 2, totaling R10. Lotto requires players to choose six numbers from 1 to 58, with odds of 1 in 40,310,358 to win the jackpot. The average Lotto jackpot payout is R5.95 million.

Tickets for Tuesday’s PowerBall and PowerBall Plus draws are available until 20:30, thirty minutes before the official draw at 21:00, through the National Lottery website, mobile app, and participating retailers. Prizes up to R2,000 can be claimed at retail stores. Winnings between R10,000 and R49,999 must be claimed at an Approved Prize Payment Centre (APPC). Amounts from R49,999 to R249,999 can be claimed via EFT from most banks (excluding African Bank, which has a limit of R49,999). Prizes exceeding R250,000 require an in-person claim at an ITHUBA office.

The National Lottery operator is scheduled to transition in June 2026, but ITHUBA remains the current operator.
