Prabhsimran caught Mayank Yadav’s ball by flicking it to the surprise of even Bhui who was trying to find the score. Prabhsimran completed the catch with one hand by leaping up. Everyone, including the commentators, was amazed to see that catch. Bhui got out after scoring 31 runs off 39 balls.
Meanwhile, South Zone captain Mayank Agarwal, who won the toss and elected to bat, Rohan S. On the strength of half-centuries from Kunummal and wicketkeeper Narayan Jagadeesan, they scored 303 runs for the loss of eight wickets in the stipulated over.
Agarwal scored 64 runs from 68 balls while Jagadeesan scored 72 runs from 66 balls. Rohan scored 70 runs from 61 balls with eight fours and three sixes.

Mayank Markande and Rishi Dhawan took two wickets for North Zone while Sandeep Sharma, Mayank Yadav, Mayank Dhagar and captain Nitish Rana took one wicket each.
In reply, the North Zone, which was batting, was wrong in everything it touched. All but one of the team were out for zero and one out.
Vidwat Kaverappa shone with five wickets while Vaishakh Vijaykumar bagged two wickets. V. Kaushik, Ravishreenivasan Sai Kishore and Washington Sundar took the remaining wickets.

Kaverappa Pfeiffer finished with only 17 runs in six overs.
Due to adverse weather conditions, the target for North Zone was reset to 246 by VJD method. But North Zone managed to score only 60 runs.
