Bangkalan, East Java – President prabowo Subianto has made a significant purchase in readiness for the upcoming eid al-Adha celebrations. The President bought a Simmental Cross Cow weighing a remarkable 1.6 tons from a local farmer for Rp90 million. This act of generosity will provide sacrificial meat for the community during the religious holiday.

The Livestock and Animal Health Office of Bangkalan played a crucial role in facilitating the purchase. Acting on a request from the State Secretariat and the Directorate General of Livestock and animal Health (DGPKH) of the Ministry of Agriculture, the office was tasked with finding a suitable cow for the President’s sacrificial offering.

Iskandar Ahadiyat,Head of the Livestock Office,Stated that the criteria for the cow included a minimum weight of 800 kilograms and a certificate of good health,verified by a veterinary team. After careful selection, Jamil Achmadi’s cow was chosen for its exceptional size and health.

“The Minimum Weight Required Was 800 Kilograms, But We Found a Cow Belonging To mr. Jamil That Weighed Up To 1.6 Tons,” Iskandar Explained.

The Office is responsible for maintaining their health and ensuring they receive a nutritious diet of concentrate and high-quality grass, such as elephant grass and red napier.Deworming treatments are also being administered to keep the animals in optimal condition.
