CHENNAI ∙ Actor Prathap Pothan (70) went on a journey wearing his favorite golden jubba and pajama as desired.
As per his earlier request, he was cremated at Vidyiya Crematorium without any religious ceremony. A few close relatives and friends came to the flat in Kilpok, Chennai and then at 10 am to the electricity crematorium on New Avadi Road. After everyone gave a final kiss, daughter Keya covered Pratap Pothan’s face.
He didn’t like crowd commotion and did not deviate from his routine even on his last journey. The romantic hero of a generation passed away without fanfare.
