Premalu is a romantic comedy film directed by Girish AD. The film was a smash hit and received great response outside Kerala as well. The film starred Nazlin and Mamita Baiju in the lead roles, while Shyam Mohan, Meenakshi Ravindran, Akhila Bhargavan, Altaf Salim, Mathew Thomas and Sangeet Pratap also played prominent roles. After the huge success of the film, the makers announced the second part.
The second part was announced during Premalu’s victory celebration in Kochi. The poster of the film was also shared on social media. The film will hit the theaters in 2025. Minister P Rajeev, Fahad Fazil, Nazriya and Amal Neerad also participated in the victory celebration with Team Premalu.
The Telugu version of the film, set in Hyderabad, was also a big hit. Director Rajamouli’s son Karthikeya distributed the film in Telugu. The film grossed over Rs 100 crores in theaters.
The film is produced by Dileesh Pothan, Fahad Fazil and Shyam Pushkaran under the banner of Bhavana Studios. Premalu was a film directed by Girish AD following successful films like Thanneermattan Dinamal and Super Sharanya.
