Premier League: Manchester City don’t give up

Manchester City have moved within three points of Arsenal at the top of the Premier League. The defending champions beat Aston Villa 3-1 on Sunday.

They thus return within reach of the Gunners, whom they will challenge on Wednesday at the Emirates in a shock which is already making England salivate. Against the Villans, Pep Guardiola’s men made the difference in the first half through Rodri (4th), Gündogan (39th) and Mahrez (45th / pen).

Manuel Akanji entered the break in place of Ruben Dias in the Mancunian defense. Erling Haaland also had to come off at the break, with the Norwegian striker seemingly struggling with muscle issues.

Winning 2-0 at Leeds, Manchester United are third, five points behind Arsenal, but with two more matches.
