In the discipline rating, the fair seems to have been read. Goggia has accumulated 487 points with one race to go before the end of the season. Things must be wild when second-placed Suter – she is 75 points behind – snatches the small crystal ball from her. Only the duel for third place will be exciting. This will probably go to Ramona Siebenhofer or Mirjam Puchner from Austria.

Corinne Suter (+0.27) from the Swiss Ski Team was able to improve significantly compared to yesterday and finished fourth. The Norwegian Ragnhild Mowinckel became ex aequo with the reinvigorated Austrian Stephanie Venier (+0.31 each) Fifth. Also for the Squadra Azzurra is Federica Brignone (+0.33) in action; she classified in seventh place. They also ensured a very good national team result Michelle Gisin (8th; +0.43) and Joana Hählen (9th; +0.46), who were happy for Nufer.

The top ten were from the US lady Jacqueline Wiles (10th; +0.55) rounded down. Miriam Puchner (+0.69) from Team Austria was 13th. Jasmine Flury, the fifth best hostess, fell to 15th place in the canton of Valais, 97 hundredths of a second behind Nufer. The Slovak Petra Vlhová (+0.99) was in 16th place. The reigning slalom Olympic champion drew level with the American Mikaela Shiffrin, who was taking a break this weekend, in the fight for the big crystal globe. Comes from Austria Tamara Tippler (+1.17), which, if we’re being honest, probably calculated a little more than 17th place.

Lara Gut-Behrami (+1.28) from Switzerland was able to compensate for yesterday’s failure with a 19th place. The ÖSV ladies Ariane Radler (+1,30), Ramona Siebenhofer (+1,34), Nadine Fest (+1.40) and Christine Scheyer (+1.46) landed behind the South Tyrolean Nadia DeLago (21st; +1.32) in positions 20, 22, 23 and 24. Kira Weidle (+1.80) from Germany, who fell during the final training session and decided not to compete yesterday for safety reasons, finished 25th. The race was overshadowed by a spectacular crash by the Austrian Cornelia Hütter in the final section, who was on her way to a podium finish and suffered a bloody nose and initial reports a concussion. A knee injury should be ruled out. Nevertheless, fans, teammates and opponents caught their breath in the finish area. Nicol Delago from South Tyrol dropped out.

This is the current standings after 40 racers. You can follow the remaining women who are still at the start in our live ticker. Should anything change within the top 15, we will of course add this later.
