Prepaid SIM Card Recovery & Low Credit Relief – Korea

by

South Korean authorities are investigating reports of a Telegram channel, identified as @brrsim_77, allegedly facilitating the illicit trade of prepaid SIM cards and offering financial services targeting young adults. The channel, which also references a business named “Pororo Communication,” is promoting what it terms “prepaid SIM restoration” and offering loans to individuals as young as 19.

Advertisements associated with the channel, found on various online forums and websites including villain.city and newri.net, detail services such as purchasing used prepaid SIM cards, providing small loans, and offering assistance with mobile phone financing. The channel’s activity appears to center around circumventing standard financial and telecommunications protocols.

The advertisements explicitly mention “뽀로로 통신” (Pororo Communication), linking the service to financial products like same-day loans and emergency funds for those aged 19 and over. The channel also promotes services related to bypassing restrictions on mobile phone usage, including assistance with “unlocked phones” and “number porting.”

Concerns have been raised regarding the legality of these activities. The advertisements suggest a willingness to engage in potentially unlawful practices, including the acquisition of SIM cards through questionable means. The promotion of quick loans to young adults also raises concerns about predatory lending practices.

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) provides a platform for consumers to file complaints related to phone issues, billing, and other telecommunications concerns, but has not yet issued a statement regarding this specific case. As of today, February 21, 2026, the FCC has not responded to inquiries regarding potential investigations into the activities promoted by the @brrsim_77 Telegram channel.

The official Pororo Korean YouTube channel continues to publish content for children, with a recent upload focusing on the eighth season of the animated series. This is separate from the entity referenced in the advertisements.
