Ukraine must do a lot of work to prepare for joining the European Union. European diplomacy will force Ukrainian society to work hard for this. This statement was made in Kyiv by the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell.

Ukraine’s accession to the European Union will not happen tomorrow or the day after tomorrow, but we want it to happen sooner rather than later, since this is the best guarantee of the country’s security,” Borrell’s statement to the staff of the EU mission in Ukraine was published on the social network “X” .
According to Borrell, the EU supports Ukraine on two fronts. One of them is located directly on the battlefield, where soldiers are dying. And another front of support is for Ukraine to become a member of the European Union. Borrell added that Ukrainians are inclined towards European values.
