Prescription sport – Health priority

The health benefits of sport are well established. In France, a 2016 decree stipulates that sport can now be the subject of a medical prescription for patients with a long-term illness.

How can sport benefit these patients? How is physical activity supervised?

  • Dr Alexandre Feltz, general practitioner in Strasbourg and deputy to the town hall of Strasbourg, he is considered to be the pioneer of sports and health on prescription
  • Pr Florian Ferreri, psychiatrist in the department of psychiatry and medical psychology of Saint-Antoine Hospital.
