The delegate president of the Federation of Private Security announced this Wednesday during a press conference that he rallied Dominique Carlac’h just like Olivier Klotz, the president of Medef Alsace, and Guillaume Cairou, who chairs the Club of entrepreneurs , who failed to validate their application. There will therefore be only one ballot.
Martin still the big favorite
Patrick Martin will face only one candidate: Dominique Carlac’h. The number two of the Medef, supported in particular by the powerful construction and metallurgy federations, nevertheless remains the big favorite. But the president of D&Consultants, an innovation consulting company that this former athlete created, wants to believe that she will be able to thwart the forecasts like Geoffroy Roux de Bézieux five years ago. The latter had created the surprise by beating the candidate of the metallurgy, Alexandre Saubot, Dominique Carlac’h and Patrick Martin withdrawing at the time in his favor.
The election to the presidency of Medef is not a simple competition because the positions on the merits of the files, whether tax, social, economy, often come together. Difficult, therefore, to decide between the candidates on this point.
Dominique Carlac’h highlighted in particular her concern for collective work: “Thank you for passing the baton to me, a specialty that I knew in the French team, for the home stretch”, she launched to her supporters. during the press conference, defending a candidacy “not of rallying but of gathering”, a way of criticizing that of Patrick Martin.
For his part, Pierre Brajeux, who had positioned himself until then in favor of a more offensive Medef, notably underlined sharing “common values” with the former torchbearer, referring in particular to honesty. Review the organization of Medef
Dominique Carlac’h drew the contours of the organization of the Medef that she would like to review, around four poles: social balances (including work throughout life), economy and competitiveness, major transformations and societal issues and finally an “internal pole which will guarantee transversality, horizontality and transparency and will integrate the function of treasurer” which will be in charge of Pierre Brajeux, who will therefore play a key role if elected.

Dominique Carlac’h, who wants to believe that the game “is completely open”, reiterated his proposal to Patrick Martin to “have a debate before the vote”. “The purpose of the thing is that our members know who they are dealing with,” she insisted, even if the election is not by direct suffrage, but by a thousand electors.
