Presidency of the Styrian Chamber of Pharmacists firmly in female hands

New President: Alexandra Fuchsbichler succeeds Gerhard Kobinger

Vienna/Graz (OTS) The Styrian regional office of the Austrian Chamber of Pharmacists has a new president. Mag. Alexandra Fuchsbichler is the first woman to head the national organization. She succeeds Mag. pharm. dr Gerhard Kobinger, who takes over the position of Vice President of the Austrian Chamber of Pharmacists and has therefore resigned from his position as President of the Chamber of Pharmacists in Styria in accordance with the statutes. From 2002 he served as state president. Vice President in Styria remains Mag. pharm. dr Alexandra Mandl.

“The pharmacy is female. This is a slogan of the Chamber of Pharmacists. As the first President of Styria with a Vice President at my side, this is now also the case in the Styrian Chamber of Pharmacists. With great respect for the challenge, I look forward to working for the Styrian pharmacists. As a pharmacist with heart and mind, it is particularly important to me that the work of Dr. Kobinger to continue in his spirit,” Fuchsbichler explained when he took office. The new state president works as a self-employed pharmacist in Voitsberg.

“After 21 years as the President of the Styrian Chamber of Pharmacists, my professional political path to Vienna is now leading me to new tasks in exciting and eventful times. E-prescriptions, economic negotiations, an upcoming amendment to the Pharmacy Act and a new general contract with the social insurance carriers, but also new services such as medication analysis or vaccinations in the pharmacy are challenges that are imminent and must be solved in the interests of us pharmacists. I will be happy to contribute to this with a great deal of commitment and dedication. I wish my successor Mag. pharm. Alexandra Fuchsbichler, who has already supported me energetically, competently and with great commitment in the past, I wish you a lot of joy and success in this beautiful task,” announces Kobinger.

Austrian Chamber of Pharmacists

The primary goals of the Chamber of Pharmacists are to strengthen the profession as a key pillar of the Austrian healthcare system and to actively support pharmacists in their demanding work on the Tara.
