US Senator Tom Cotton shared in an interview the transformation that El Salvador has experienced, from being one of the most dangerous countries in the world to one of the safest in the region, thanks to the policies of President Nayib Bukele.
«A few years ago, President Bukele and his legislature declared a State of Emergency. There were large-scale raids once morest the MS13 and other gangs, and now El Salvador competes with Canada as one of the safest countries in America,” the American declared following a visit to the country.
He added that this is possible when crime is taken seriously, when public order is reestablished, as President Bukele did, and that now honest Salvadorans might enjoy peace as they would not have been able to in past administrations.
