Our country is a rare land. Big, but shrunk. Populated by a host of entrepreneurs and good workers and professionals, but overwhelmed by an overwhelming bureaucracy that is more mediocre than gray. Spacious, but crowded into 10,000 km2. With a wide maritime platform, it continues with its back to the sea. A marine biologist is more exotic than an exorbitant asteroid. It spends on health per capita on a par with Scandinavia, but lack of protection is rampant in vast areas of the country, including sites 15 km away from the Obelisk. Social plans spread everywhere, but an internal bid gave rise to ominous nonsense that came to light with that income dollars are bought at official value. In the midst of this disorder, an 8-year-old boy was crushed to death by a truck while looking for food in the garbage dump of El Volcadero de Paraná. Why go on! Pathetic realities like those exposed abound and leave perplexed. And with anger.
However, on November 17 at the Único de La Plata stadium we had the opportunity to publish an exceptional rarity. Our exclusive. Non-existent on the entire planet and even rummaging around, like a meticulous historian, a similar finding will not be easy: an incumbent –interim– president of office alive with a thunderous “we will return” that gave a framework and collective voice to an opposition discourse. A speaker that the entire stadium saw how she arrived in the presidential helicopter, an official ship intended for State use.
“We will return to happiness”, in an explicit allusion contrasting with the taciturn reality that we suffer today with the government that the “star” of the act leads in fact.
Will the adoptive penguin lady have achieved the political miracle of managing 70% of the large state funds and acting as an opponent? How many people believe in this transfiguration in which two contradictory characters coexist? Two people in one. A political duet.
The certain thing is that this studied effort of transmutation remaining – it leaves, but it stays; it is, but it left-, it is still another threat that is presented to the Change. It is explained by the confessed intention –made explicit by mother and son– that “the true and only change is us”. It is known: confusion is a scenario that those who are motivated by malicious purposes need. In confusion they fish better, especially when they are unsuspecting and disillusioned. Just like with corruption: the best way to limit its moral monstrosity is to “bag them all”. Everyone is corrupt is the way to naturalize looting and to obtain impunity. Or, at least, attenuate social condemnation. If all politicians are equal, there are no distinctions. Nobody is better. From there to resignation, apathy, indifference, “it doesn’t matter” and emigration, there are only small and few steps.
I believe that this artifice, this trickery of the coexistence of roles, must be quickly and forcefully exposed. The front belongs to all of them and they are all responsible for this decline to increasingly dark and unimaginable depths.
To the apparatuses that mobilized people to the Estadio Único, we must oppose a program of moral and material rehabilitation of Argentina that is motivating, bets strongly on the future and unites the hosts of change that are in the majority.
