The Commander-in-Chief of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB), Nicholas Maduro Moorsauthorized this Thursday the start of the Operation Cacique Manaure 2022 in Paraguaná, Falcón state, as part of the commemoration of the 17th anniversary of the creation of the Strategic Operational Command (CEOFANB).
“Attention to all the force deployed in the Paraguaná Peninsula, today on the 17th anniversary of the creation of the Operational Strategic Command of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces by our commander Hugo Chávez Frías, we are going to show that all the effort has been worth it. , that the Bolivarian Doctrine is fair and we are able to successfully defend the territory. That is why I give the order that this Operation Cacique Manaure be deployed”, he expressed from Fort Tiuna, together with the high military authorities, linked by satellite with Falcón.
The Head of State, accompanied by the Minister for Defense, Vladimir Padrino Lopez and Commander CEO, Domingo Hernandez Larezhighlighted that this comprehensive defense exercise is carried out in the northernmost area of Venezuela, which, in turn, is also part of the South American region.

The general Jose Santiago Moreno Martinez, in charge of the defense operation in the western entity, reported that in the Paraguaná Peninsula, Falcón municipality, more than 2,500 combatants are trained in person, through the use of eight deep-draft vessels, 56 light boats, 58 tanks of war, 85 light vehicles, eight combat aircraft and five helicopters.
The officer explained to President Maduro that Operation Cacique Manaure deploys three large military exercises, with the participation of the Bolivarian Militias and PDVSA Combat Corps.
The first consists of a Defense Plan to protect the Paraguaná Refinery, with the deployment of materials, troops and combat corps to protect the facilities.
Likewise, the beachhead intake was designed in the facilities of the Josefa Camejo Thermoelectric Plantin Punto Fijo, as well as infiltration operations to take over airports.
“Today we will carry out the operation to take over the beachhead, of coordination, where it will initially start with deep air fire support to decimate the enemy,” he advanced. Participation included fast and Special Forces troops.

During the exercise, transmitted by Venezuelan Television (VTV)infiltration was carried out with parachute troops to reach the rear of the presumed enemy and pursue them, while naval airborne troops and combatants defended the navigation channel, landing amphibians to take over the beach.
At the end of the military activity, the constitutional president congratulated the skill and military coordination shown.
He reiterated his call to the authorities of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, and the local governments of Curaçao, Aruba and Bonaire, islands subordinate to that European kingdom that are located off the Venezuelan coast, to initiate the necessary coordination in the fight and combat against Colombian violent groups that use this maritime area for their criminal purposes.
“I can say, at this time, that this exercise is the one that demonstrates the capacity for military-popular action to defend our territories and coasts, defend them from the TANCOL, in this case the enemies of the Homeland, the Armed Terrorist Drug Traffickers of Colombia. To persecute them, arrest them, destroy them, work that must be done for the health, integrity and security of Venezuela”, he sentenced.
