President Yoon Seok-yeol receives the first government department work report since taking office today (11th) from the Ministry of Strategy and Finance.
The Ministry of Strategy and Finance’s business report is expected to focus on public welfare issues such as inflation, implementation plans for government tasks such as deregulation, innovation of public institutions, and maintenance of various committees.
A key official in the presidential office said earlier, “The first business report of the new government is to change the format and focus on making a practical report.”
In addition, “so that it is not a ‘vision proclamation ceremony’ event that presents a good picture of a department store-style listing or a rosy blueprint, but rather a time to seriously contemplate key policies in charge of ministries and find specific implementation strategies (the president) instructed,” he explained.
The government work report on President Yoon will start with the Ministry of Finance today, followed by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and the Ministry of SMEs and Startups tomorrow, and the Ministry of Science and Technology Information and Communication and the Ministry of Employment and Labor on Friday.
