A public opinion poll came out today showing that President Yoon Seok-yeol’s approval rating for state affairs recovered to the 30% level in a week.

As a result of a survey of 1,03 men and women over the age of 18 nationwide by Gallup Korea from the 18th to the 20th, 31% of President Yoon’s job performance was evaluated positively and 60% negatively.

Compared to the previous survey announced last Friday by Gallup Korea, the positive rating increased by 4 percentage points, and the negative rating decreased by 5 percentage points.

Diplomacy was the reason for the positive evaluation, 8% was the union response, and 7% was overall good.

Gallup Korea analyzed, “For both positive and negative reasons for the president’s job evaluation, diplomatic issues are at the top for the second month, and mentions of Japan are gradually decreasing.”

“Last week’s controversy over wiretapping and wiretapping of US allies has subsided to some extent with the arrest of a suspect leaking classified documents, and South Korea and the United States have announced the schedule for a state visit to the United States next week,” he said. It is noteworthy that Russia and China each objected to the remarks.”

Previously, President Yoon’s approval rating for state affairs recorded 29% in the third week of the survey in November of last year, and then stayed in the 30% range all the time, before recording 27% in last week’s survey.

The party’s approval rating was 32%, where the power of the people increased by 1 percentage point from the previous survey, and the Democratic Party of Korea, where the ‘2021 National Convention Money Envelope Suspicion’ arose, fell by 4 percentage points to 32%, so both parties were the same.

The error range of this survey is ±3.1%p at the 95% confidence level.
