DRC President Félix Tshisekedi has expressed his desire to run for the next presidential election. According to information received by ActuRDC, more than 308 leaders of political parties have adopted and signed the Charter of the Sacred Union of the Nation, which has 76 articles and 9 chapters to release Félix-Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo as “sole candidate” from the political and electoral platform of the Sacred Union for the Nation (USN).
The announcement was made by Christophe Mboso Nkodia, this Wednesday, April 05, during the closing ceremony on the adoption and signing of the USN Charter.
“We members of the political parties of the Sacred Union of the Nation, after the adoption of the Charter, proceed solemnly to its signature in accordance with the provisions of article 9 of the said charter”, they declared.
All the leaders of the political parties and political groups as well as the personalities who are members of the USN are committed to supporting and defending the leadership of the High Political Authority, Felix Tshisekedi.
As a political and electoral machine, the Sacred Union for the Nation creates its place in the Congolese political scene as a novice. However, the structure already has four (4) organs, namely: the Congress; the High Political Authority; the Presidium; and the Conference of Presidents of parties, political groupings and personalities designated by the High Political Authority.
Note that the USN Presidium is made up of emblematic figures of the power in place, in this case Christophe Mboso, Modeste Bahati, Jean-Pierre Bemba, Augustin Kabuya, Jean-Michel Sama Lukonde and Vital Kamerhe.
