Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – After experiencing a business loss of IDR 12 billion overnight in 2010, singer Ressa Herlambang was reportedly bankrupt. However, because of her efforts to cover up this economic condition, Ressa’s financial health worsened until finally she had difficulty paying off her debt to Raffi Ahmad.

Reported from CNN Indonesia and Detik.com, Ressa actually comes from an established and affluent family. However, the economic conditions changed 360 degrees after the family business suffered a loss of IDR 12 billion overnight.

Because she doesn’t want to look like a poor person, for 12 years Ressa has been hiding her economic condition by renting a car, dressing up nicely, and so on.

Of course, this image is also carried out on social media, so netizens still see Ressa as an established figure.

Fortunately, Nia Ramadhani’s ex-boyfriend was relieved after he made a confession about his real financial condition.

Ressa herself did not mention what business her family was running. However, because of that, Ressa was eventually chased by debt collectors to pay off debts.

Style according to the bag

This expression was voiced by a legendary businessman in Indonesia, namely the late Bob Sadino, to remind us not to waste money to look established in the eyes of others.

Canadian politician Norm Kelly expressed the same thing in 2017. Kelly warns us not to fall into poverty because we try to look rich.

The more we try to look rich, the more we spend buying or renting things we don’t really need.

The only way to get out of this problem is through self-evaluation, financial health checks, and finding out what we can do to restore our financial condition.
