To avoid fatal collisions on the transparent surfaces of buildings, builders are beginning to offer high-performance technical solutions, but at a certain cost to budgets.

Our buildings are increasingly equipped with large glass surfaces to better help filter light. An architectural bias that is to the detriment of birds, for whom this trend is harmful. In the United States, scientific studies estimate that between 365 and 988 million birds die each year following a collision with a building. In Germany, their number amounts to a hundred thousand per year, or about 5% of the existing species park in the country. France would count the same number of victims as its Germanic neighbor according to estimates by the League for the Protection of Birds (LPO).
