At the time, five people were grilling meat over charcoal in the living room, and three of them were found to have been eating over a charcoal fire for about an hour. The remaining two are said to have joined just before the previous three showed symptoms.

Firefighting authorities said, “Carbon monoxide is colorless and odorless, so it is not easy to detect danger in advance,” and added, “Please be especially careful when using fire as a moment of carelessness can lead to serious casualties.”
