It’s getting crowded on the Mediterranean – summer holidays are getting more expensive
Depending on the travel destination abroad, there are hefty surcharges. However, saving by vacationing in Switzerland only works to a limited extent – because prices are rising here too.
The desire to travel is unbridled. The Swiss like to travel – this is not changing because of the general rise in prices, on the contrary. The major tour operators Hotelplan, Kuoni and Tui are reporting high demand for holiday destinations on the Mediterranean in the summer months. Mallorca, Ibiza, Greece and Cyprus are particularly popular. The booking status for these destinations is back to the level of 2019, i.e. before the pandemic, or even higher.
