Prigogine remembered how he came up with the “Golden Gramophone”

Producer Iosif Prigogine in conversation with Teleprogramma.pro confirmed that it was he who stood at the origins of the creation of the prestigious Golden Gramophone music award.

“The former owners of the Russian Media Group, its first shareholders Vitaly Bogdanov, Sergey Arkhipov can confirm this. I’m not going to justify myself to anyone. I figured it out and did it.”

Joseph Prigogine

As Iosif Prigozhin noted, in those years he worked with the artist Vakhtang Kikabidze and was friends with the leaders of the Russian Media Group. “Their office was located near the Kursk railway station. I said, “Let’s do a Russian Grammy.” I took over the organization. I even have papers. I did it for a good cause. I have a very good hand, happy. I made the first “gramophone”. I agreed with the leadership of Channel One to put it on the air. I went to Gazprom, to the Soyuz studio,” Prigogine recalled.

According to the producer, he personally brought artists to the Kremlin for an award in his car. “They performed, and then I took them back. There was a banquet at the Central House of Writers. I made three thousand dollars on the whole gramophone. It was not enough. One percent of the amounts that I raised. I didn’t claim ownership. Then other people began to make the Golden Gramophone, but I gave the idea anyway, ”said Prigogine.

Previously video blogger Alena Zhigalova doubted that it was Joseph Prigogine invented the Golden Gramophone. She teased the producer, saying that maybe he also created the “Song of the Year”.
