Prime Minister Narendra Modi will arrive in Samarkand, Uzbekistan today. Modi arrives in Uzbekistan for Shanghai Corporation Organization summit. Modi will hold diplomatic talks with the heads of state of Russia, Uzbekistan and Iran. The discussion with Russia is on issues such as trade and export of food items.
Modi’s visit is being closely watched by Western countries, which the SCO bloc has described as anti-Western. Meanwhile, Indian Ambassador to Uzbekistan Manish Prabhat came out once morest portraying the SCO as an anti-Western group. India’s position is clear. It is also stated in SCO platforms that SCO is not an organization. Manish Prabhat said that SCO is an initiative for constructive cooperation, peace and stability in the world.
