Baghdad / Obelisk: Prime Minister Muhammad Shia’ al-Sudani affirmed, on Monday, January 16, 2023, that the Iraqis were able, through unity and synergy, to overcome the ISIS attack.
And the media office of the Prime Minister stated in a statement, “Al-Sudani received the Secretary-General of the Council of Muslim Elders, Muhammad Abdel Salam, and his accompanying delegation,” noting that “during the meeting, they reviewed the most important challenges facing Islamic societies, and ways to overcome them through solidarity and communication.”
The Prime Minister affirmed, “The Iraqis were able, through unity and synergy, to overcome the attack of ISIS and the threat and barbarism it represented,” noting that “denouncing the rhetoric of extremism, isolating it, and condemning it from all intellectual and cultural bodies and institutions, will inevitably contribute to erasing the effects of terrorism and ending its existence.”
