Prime Minister’s Visit to Livestock Markets: Preparations for Tabaski Festival

Dakar, June 16 (APS) – The Prime Minister, also Minister of Livestock and Animal Production, Amadou Ba will proceed, on Saturday, to a series of visits to the livestock markets of Sandiara, Touba Toul and Séwékhaye, announces a press release received at the APS.

This tour is part of the preparation for the Tabaski festival, scheduled for the end of June.

It will be an opportunity for Amadou Ba to “take stock of the supply of the market with sheep and to provide the support of the Government to the actors”, specifies the press release.

”The three sites on the menu of this tour are of great importance in the supply circuit of the sheep market in general and Tabaski sheep in particular”, informs the same source.

The locality of Sandiara, in the department of Mbour, has a weekly livestock market and a waiting area for livestock from Mauritania, while Séwékhaye is a concentration area for sheep, especially in the last week preceding the festival. by Tabaski.
