The famous Japanese anime streaming platform, Crunchyroll, signs a partnership with Prime Video.
ANIME – Streaming platforms are increasingly focusing on anime. While Netflix has adapted works like One Piece in live action, and offered a wide choice of anime ranging from Naruto has Demon Slayer, it is now around Prime Video to enrich its catalog by offering the widest choice of anime in the world. Indeed, after the ADN platform, which also specializes in the distribution of anime, on October 24, Prime Video signed a contract with the large streaming platform specializing in Japanese anime: Crunchyroll.
Like the Warner Pass, Crunchyroll joins the platform via Amazon Channels. By subscribing to an individual subscription without commitment, subscribers can have access to channels like OCS or watch Ligue 1 and now have access to an even wider catalog of anime.
Prime Video offers two subscription offers: Fan and Mega Fan. Both provide access to the full Crunchyroll library. Which is equivalent to 46,000 episodes, more than 1,300 series and films, for a total of 24,000 hours of content. But subscribers to the Mega Fan offer benefit from some additional advantages such as downloading episodes in order to watch them offline.
Soon available in France via Prime Video?
If lucky subscribers and manga fans across the Atlantic can benefit from the precious Crunchyroll catalog, in France they will have to wait.
The offer is available in Sweden, Canada and the United States, for $7.99 per month with the Fan offer and $9.99 per month with the Mega Fan offer. However, Amazon should extend this partnership to other territories by 2024.
