Prince Andrew absent from family vacation: his daughters are “very angry”

Beatrice and Eugenie from York were looking forward to spending a few days of family vacation in Verbier, a ski resort in Switzerland. Unfortunately for the two sisters, their father Prince Andrew was not on the trip. In view of his troubles with the law, lawyers for the son of Queen Elizabeth II advised him not to go there. They say it would have been inappropriate for the Duke of York to be seen having a good time on vacation, when he is currently in a huge legal battle over the sexual assault charges.

By missing his family moments, Prince Andrew has upset his daughters. “Beatrice and Eugenie were both very angry as they hoped their children could spend their first ski vacation with their grandfather and the whole family.”, a source told the Daily Mirror on Saturday, January 8. And to add: “Unfortunately that was not the case, but they made Skype calls with their father almost every day while they were in Verbier in order to support him and allow him to see his grandchildren on vacation.”

Beatrice and Eugenie therefore spent their holidays in the company of their respective husbands and children. Their mother, Sarah Ferguson was also present. Even if they were angry at not seeing their father, the two sisters fully support him in his legal fight. “Beatrice and Eugenie fully support their father and form a very close family unit, which includes Sarah”, the source also claimed in the columns of the British daily. And to specify: “It’s more about being there for him and supporting him rather than asking him about the case.”
