During a visit to a pub in London on Thursday, the Prince of Wales, accompanied by Princess Kate, confided in the microphone of BFMTV on the coronation of King Charles III on Saturday.
First visit for William and Kate ahead of the coronation of Charles III. The Prince and Princess of Wales visited the Dog & Duck pub in Soho, London’s West End, on Thursday.
On site, the princely couple spoke with the many Britons present. Asked by BFMTV about the organization of the coronation, which will be held this Saturday, May 6, Prince William said he was “really looking forward”.
“I’m fine, very fine, fingers crossed that the weather stays as it is. We can’t wait,” he told our reporter on site, Laura Kalmus.
“I see lots of hidden microphones, I imagine there’s a lot of press here,” he added, the microphones having been banned by security.
Metro travel
To get to the bar, Prince William and Princess Kate took the metro from the Acton Main Line in the west of the British capital and then took the Elizabeth Line, a line put into service on May 24, 2022, in tribute to the Queen Elizabeth II.
The Dog & Duck pub is part of the Nicholson’s group, which owns several pubs across the UK and celebrates its 150th anniversary this year.
